Torbay Hall

30th & 31st of August 9am -12pm

Join the Village for a weekend of playing with clay through learning the basics of pottery wheelwork.

This workshop will be held over two mornings amongst the peppermint trees of Torbay, covering the process of turning clay into wheel thrown pottery pieces ready for the kiln.

Saturday:

  • Introduction to clay and the ceramic process

  • Wheel throwing

Sunday:

  • Trimming pieces

  • Decoration techniques

  • Handles

Both days will include vegan snacks, mindfulness activities and nourishing drinks.

We would be honoured to share our love for wheel throwing and pottery with you. This is an extremely limited offering, with a very small class size to ensure appropriate guidance and support. No pottery experience required.

Princess Royal Sailing Club

30th November 2025 10am-3pm

We are honoured to announce that The Village will co-host this special boutique workshop with Kinjarling's very own writer Molly Schmidt, author of the award winning book Salt River Road.

Molly will be sharing her non-linear writing process, blending story-telling and poetry to assist participants in writing their life-story. The workshop will explore the process of non-fiction life writing skills and craft engaging narratives about real people and events.

What this workshop includes:

  • A bespoke writing workshop run by author Molly Schmidt

  • A gentle, accessible movement session run by Molly - to stretch our bodies and achy writing hands!

  • A beautiful decomposition journal

  • Wholesome plant-based lunch, snacks and warm and cool drinks.

Camp Quaranup

8th November 2025 10am-1pm

This is an invitation to join the Village for a morning of creative play. A morning to slow down and create at your own pace in the company of others who find joy in the process of creating.

There will be some materials available to explore different mediums such as pottery, whittling and embroidery. You are also welcome to bring any materials or projects you wish.

Grounding exercises and a vegan morning tea will be provided. However, this is mostly a self-directed experience. It's an opportunity to create in a community and an opportunity for us to catch up with the Village community and meet new people in a casual creative environment.

We would love to see you there!
